Each week, participants will engage in a two-hour interactive lecture and discussion covering skills drawn from Paul Tripp’s Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands and other sources. Participants will also interact with a case study as a way to practice applying the skills that they learn.

Intro: In this session, participants will consider why we are to care for one another in the context of community, and what skills we need to develop in order to do so.
Listen: In this session, participants will consider what skills are involved in listening well, as well as what we are actually listening for (stories, heart, gospel gaps, entry gates).

Ask: In this session, participants will consider how to organize the “data” that we have gathered while listening, and learn to avoid making assumptions by asking good questions.

Speak: In this session, participants will consider what it looks like to “speak the truth in love” without simply offering biblical platitudes.
Apply: In this session, participants will consider how to help someone apply God’s truth in their lives in ways that lead to lasting change.
